Protein-rich purees for children

1. Chicken and vegetable puree

Ingredients

  • 1 leek
  • 2 potatoes
  • 1 zucchini
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 chicken breast
  • White pepper
  • Olive oil
  • Salt

Preparation

1.  Wash, peel and chop all the vegetables and chicken breast.

2. In a large frying pan,  add plenty of water, salt and a few drops of olive oil. When the water boils, add the vegetables and the chicken breast and cook for about 30 minutes.

3. Remember that the carrots take the longest to cook, so be sure to chop them into small pieces.

4. When all the vegetables are soft, remove the pan from the heat.

5.  Put vegetables, chicken and a little of the sky in a blender.

6. Mix all ingredients into a smooth puree. Salt, pepper and taste.

7. Serve and enjoy.

2. Fish and vegetable puree

Ingredients

  • 1 carrot
  • 1 leek
  • 1 tomato
  • 2 potatoes
  • 1 zucchini
  • Parsley
  • 200 grams of white fish, such as hake
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper

Preparation

1.  Wash and chop all the vegetables. The smaller pieces you make, the shorter the cooking time, especially for the carrot.

2.  Crumble the fish and set aside.

In a large saucepan, add water and a little olive oil. Wait until the water has boiled and then add the chopped vegetables.

4.  Allow the vegetables boil for about 30 minutes. When they start to soften, add the crumbled fish.

5. When both fish and vegetables are cooked,  remove the casserole from the plate and then mix the mixture.

6.  Mix the vegetables, the fish and a little of the broth. How much broth you add depends on how thick you want the puree to be.

7. Finally, pour the puree into another bowl , and add salt and a little parsley while stirring.

8. Server.

Ingredients

  • 100 grams of veal
  • 40 grams of carrots
  • 50 grams of potatoes
  • 40 grams of zucchini or green beans
  • 10 grams of olive oil
  • Salt and pepper

Preparation

1.  Wash, peel and chop all the vegetables  and veal.

2. In a large frying pan, add plenty of water. Bring to the boil and then  add all the ingredients,  except the olive oil.

3.  Boil for 30 minutes, or until the vegetables are soft.

4. Put all the ingredients in a blender, with a little broth and season with salt and pepper. Mix to a smooth puree.

5. Add other spices to taste.

Finally,  serve in a large bowl and drizzle with a little olive oil.
