Castles and rockets made of cardboard

Household paper has paper tubes that are often thrown away. If you collect some paper tubes from both kitchen paper and toilet paper, you can make toys for both girls and boys.

You can, for example, make a castle. Simply take three or four tubes and cut them into different sizes. Then you can make the roof by using cardboard or paper cones of cardboard or paper and glue. Paint the castle walls as brick or facade.

Depending on the age of the children, you can teach them colors, numbers, letters and even shapes by using homemade toys. You do not even have to use a lot of material for it.

For example, you can make geometric divr from thick cardboard. Then paint the cardboard in the same color as the shape. Ask your child which pair fits together. The child will learn through play.

4. Fishing games

With a little imagination and creativity, you can make some really fun children’s games. An example is fishing games where you use dressed fish. Start by cutting out fish shapes from colored fabrics. It’s pretty simple.

Then you put a loop of wool that should look like the fish’s mouth. For the fishing rod, you need a stick, some wire and a hook made of paper clips (or something similar) on top.

Lay the fish on the floor. The child, whether sitting on a chair or standing, must catch the fish by hooking the clip through the loop. You will have fun for hours!

Homemade toys are suitable for all ages. Use what you have at home and let your imagination run wild.

We advise you to have a box or bag at home where you can store craft materials. Take advantage and use crafts on a rainy afternoon when the usual games and toys do not catch the children’s interest.
