How to pack the BB bag

From the time you reach week 32 of pregnancy, you should start preparing for the baby’s arrival, as long as everything is in order. This does not just mean having the home ready. The first thing you should do is pack the BB bag, which should contain everything necessary for the birth and stay in the hospital.

These are the things that a expectant mother should not be without when it’s time to give birth. Write down and do not forget the following:

Checklist for how to pack the BB bag

  • Some form of ID card with a photo of you. It can be your driver’s license or ID card. Make sure you have all the paperwork you may need for enrollment in the hospital.
  • A bathrobe, slippers and socks. Most hospitals offer a coat to wear after giving birth. But it is better to have their own clothes with them because they will make you feel more comfortable and you also do not have to worry about stains or anything else. Everything you take with you should be loose-fitting and comfortable if you need to take blood samples, blood pressure or other samples.
  • Something to help you relax. It could be music, a book or something that can distract you and help you stress down the moments before your baby arrives.
  • Toiletries. You will probably need a towel, soap and other personal belongings if you stay longer in the hospital. Do not forget your toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, skin lotion, shampoo and anything else you will want to use.
  • A warm, soft sweater or cardigan. Hospitals are not always hot! It is a good idea to have something warm with you that will also help protect against the wind when you come out of the hospital.
  • Underwear adapted for newly redeemed. You should especially have a nursing bra, which is designed for breastfeeding with pockets and padding. A regular bra can cause breast milk to leak onto your clothes and make you uncomfortable.

  • Something that holds behind the hair. Suggest a hair band or a hair band, as clips can be uncomfortable and you can tear yourself on them.
  • A mobile phone with enough battery and with all the connectors you need. You never know when you may need to contact someone quickly. Save down all the phone numbers you may need.
  • Several lingerie changes. After giving birth, it is very likely that you will need to change panties several times. Be prepared with 2 to 3 replacement options to avoid mishaps.
  • Clothes to wear when you leave the hospital. You should bring an extra change to put on when you go home. Maternity clothes that are made for the sixth month of pregnancy are approximately best in case your stomach is swollen.
  • Clothes for your baby. Of course, in addition to your own things, you should bring a small bag with everything your baby will need. Pack a body, socks, a blanket, diapers, a hat and other items that may be necessary.

Other things to pack the BB bag with:

Depending on how your pregnancy is, you may also want to include the following things in your BB bag:

  • An extra pillow e. Many women can not sleep properly without several pillows. If you know it’s right for you, bring your own pillow so you can rest properly.
  • A change of clothes for your partner. Many women need to stay in the hospital for several days after giving birth. If someone will be with you overnight, it is a good idea for them to bring extra clothes. That way, they do not have to look for it at the last minute.
  • A camera. If you want to document your birth, do not forget to bring a good camera with charged batteries. By including it, you will be able to save and look back on the experience that only happens once in a lifetime (even if you have more children).

An important thing to remember when packing your BB bag is not to bring your favorite clothes. Anything can happen that destroys the clothes.

Pack things that you do not care to lose and remember that they can get stains if the accident occurs. If you wear glasses, make sure you bring them with you, you will probably need them.

Also think about the weather around the time you are going to give birth. If your estimated date is in the middle of winter, make sure both you and your baby have proper clothing to keep out the cold.
